Ferrous Sulphate (also known as Iron Sulphate or Copperas) is a by-product of a manufacturing process.
Appearance: Light crystalline with a slight acidic odour.

Ferrous Sulphate is used in many Industrial Sectors. It is used as a mordant in dyeing wool, in the manufacture of ink, in water purification, as a substitute for aluminium sulphate, agrochemical as a fertiliser, a lawn conditioner, colour enhancer and management of moss. It’s also used to produce magnetic ferric oxide.

Uses
- Will adjust the pH levels as an acidifier on alkaline grounds
- Precipitant, coagulant and flocculent for industrial water/effluent treatment
- Phosphate treatment
- Colour and quality enhancement of grass and has been assessed in accordance with EU Directive 91/414 as suitable for use in the control of moss in managed turf situations. Refer to your local distributor for specific conditions relating to such uses.
